Ms. Tschopik is Of Counsel to the firm. Her practice focuses on business litigation. She is a former partner of Wyman Bautzer Kuchel & Silbert. She has tried more than twenty cases to verdict in major commercial and employment discrimination matters. Examples include successful defense of well known franchise restaurant founders against a lawsuit where terminated corporate officer alleged ownership interests in franchise concept and entities created by founders; as well as 12-0 defense verdict in case tried by one of the state's most prestigious plaintiff's firms. This case was a lawsuit against a wealthy immigrant real estate broker accused of sexual assault and false imprisonment. She recently won a court judgment in a bench trial where a major New York fashion manufacturer sued California retailer for failure to pay for dresses. Ms. Tschopik received her J.D. in 1977 from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall and her B.A. in 1968 from the University of California, Berkeley, (Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude). Ms. Tschopik is also licensed to practice law in Nevada. |
